Vice Chair for Basic and Translational Research
Dr. Lipkin is Professor of Medicine, Director of the Weill-Cornell Program in Mendelian Genetics, Director of the Adult and Cancer Genetics Clinic and Vice Chair for Basic and Translational Research in the Department of Medicine. He is a board certified clinical geneticist who sees patients with early onset and inherited gastrointestinal diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease. He trained in Internal Medicine at Duke University and Medical Genetics at the National Human Genome Research Institute. His research interests are the role of genetic mutations to cause genetic diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease and cancer.
